I'm Katie Lewis, stay at home mom to my two young kids with a baby on the way. I've had a lifelong joy for making with my hands and felt especially compelled by recent world events to put those skills to use to benefit others. So many fellow moms and dads and kids and grandparents all over the world are displaced from their homes right now.

Staying home with my children every day and having a home to stay in is an incredible blessing that I'm sincerely grateful for every day. In an effort to help raise funds to donate to the many refugees around the world in need of homes, I decided to make a limited run of mini home portraits--cheery, brightly-colored wall hangings--to offer for sale in my etsy shop.

Aside from being a means to raise money, to me these little homes symbolize the deep hope I carry for a world where every family, every person, could have a safe place to call home.

I've also created a limited number of half page booklets called, "NICE THINGS TO DO." It's a fun, simple, happy little handbook printed on hearty white cardstock and stapled down the middle. This handbook is full of ideas of nice things to do in your home, neighborhood, community, and world. There are 10 ideas for each section; pass off 5 nice things in each section to earn a badge! (Ok, so it's just a little picture to color in, but still fun.) Use them for yourself, as a family, and share them with friends and neighbors! It's fun to be nice! Celebrate it!

Also available are a very limited run of necklaces my sweet 7 year old daughter Olivia made. I told her what I was working on and she was eager to help, so she sat down and spent a good hour or two (which is basically an eternity when you're 7) making these necklaces to sell, knowing the proceeds would go to benefit those who don't have homes and need a safe place to be. The necklaces are made from white yarn and beads from Olivia's personal collection.

Finally, I've also decided to leave the quilted items up in my shop and donate any proceeds they may bring in as well. There are two hand quilts--like a hot pad, but not for oven use. Think more along the lines of keeping your hands cozy while you hold a big ol' bowl of ice cream. And there are two large throw quilts, both hand quilted by me. These are much higher ticket items, but if they sell all proceeds will also go to this cause.

Thanks so much for all your support and contributions! These offerings seem small when I think about all those who stand in need, but I truly believe that every little bit counts.
