In 2015 more than 4 million people fled Syria and another 7.6 million refugees were displaced within the country. The refugee crisis has been said to be the worst since World War II. I am raising money for refugees including women at-risk, orphaned children, and surivors of torture. The funds will be used to help them resettle in permanent, safe locations and rebuild their lives. The talks in the last General Conference inspired me to want to make a difference, especially the one given by Elder Kearon. I will be hosting a water party this Thursday, June 23rd at my house from 2-5pm-come and go as you please. We will have plenty of things to keep your kids cool (inflatable water slide, kiddie pool, water guns, and snow cones). I am asking for a minimum $5 per kid donation. 100% of proceeds will go towards helping these people in need. Please donate by Thursday.
